Internal medicine
Cardiology/Diabetology/Angiology
The internal medical department of the m&i-Fachklinik Herzogenaurach comprises a great variety of
individual rehabilitation measures for patients with cardiovascular, vascular and metabolic
diseases, in particular diabetes. Having the goal of restoring the patient’s optimum performance,
the treatment concept is specifically tailored to patients with
- Coronary heart
diseases in all stages (cardiac infarction, secondary infarction)
- Balloon dilatation, stent
implantation
- Bypass surgery
- Vavular surgery
- Heart transplantation
-
Myocardiopathies
- Cardiasthenia (cardiac insufficiency)
- Cardiac arrhythmia/Status
post pacemaker implantation
- Diseases of the arterial vascular system (balloon dilatation,
bypass surgeries)
- Diseases of the venous vascular system (venous thrombosis, pulmonary
embolism)
- Diabetes mellitus of all disease stages and treatment forms including secondary
diabetic diseases, in particular
- Diabetic foot syndrome
The proximity to large cardio-surgical and vascular-surgical as well as cardiologic clinics guarantees a close cooperation of all physicians involved. The interdisciplinary treatment of patients with multiple diseases by internists, neurologists and orthopaedists is rather the normal case than a specialty.
